“Kormós” (Album Release Presentation)
"Kormós" is the new album by Tasos Kofodimos and Yvonne Melissa, created in collaboration with Mahyar Tahmasbi (Iran) and Laia Escartin (Catalonia).
The album features eight compositions and one free improvisation, inspired by trees, myths, landscapes, and folk traditions. It is a musical meeting point between Greek traditional music, the Eastern Mediterranean soundscape, Persian music, and free improvisation.
Alongside the compositions from Kormós, the ensemble will also perform arrangements of traditional Greek pieces that have inspired and influenced them.
Tasos Kofodimos – lute, composition
Yvonne Melissa – violin, composition
Mahyar Tahmasbi – cello
Melisma Piano Duo - “Echoes of the Folk”
